The highest point on the Leelanau Peninsula and along the way to Sleeping Bear Dunes. Tucked along the most popular route to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore (M-72), our vineyard and tasting room is perched at 1165 feet. This is the highest point on the beautiful Leelanau Peninsula (even higher than locally-famous locations like Empire Bluffs or Pyramid Point). From our deck, one can see the village of Empire, Sugar Loaf, and also the highest point in Grand Traverse County. It truly makes the sunset one of the most memorable you will ever experience!
We feature tastings or wine by the glass, live music, and locally-sourced small plates—all season long. Join us for live music on our patio stage in summer and around the outdoor fire pits in winter. Our food menu includes locally sourced cheese, meats, nuts, and chocolates selected to pair well with our wines.
Welcoming adults and kids of all ages. Tucked far off the road and surrounded by wide open green spaces, the Gallagher Estate features outdoor games for kids and adults, dancing areas, firepits, and a hiking/snowshoeing trail loop guiding you to the highest point in Leelanau County.
To honor the land and its historical connection to the community, our tasting room was designed to harmonize with the surrounding landscape. With barnwood sourced from the family homestead, there is an undeniable authenticity and connection between Rove Estate and the history of the Gallagher farm. Rove Estate proudly incorporates sustainable agricultural practices whenever possible
